"We’re a team of operators, builders, and founders who believe startups should be forged, not simply funded.”
Meet the people behind 1845
Our Team
-
Ryan Brown, Co-Founder
Ryan has spent more than 25 years building from the ground up—15+ as an entrepreneur and 10+ as an intrapreneur.
He’s founded more than a dozen companies across aerospace, real estate, tech, and finance, raised capital, and led high-growth ventures.
After relocating to Dallas to push himself alongside top-tier leaders, Ryan teamed up with Wade and Trey - two rare humans who share the same belief he does:
“The best companies aren’t born in pitch decks. They’re built by founders who’ve lived the problem and are crazy enough to solve it.”
His mission: partner early with gritty, high-conviction founders and help them build purpose-driven companies—no fluff, just results.
-
Trey Bowles, Co-Founder
Trey is an investor, educator, and entrepreneur, I’ve had the privilege of building over 25 companies and working with more than 10,000 startups across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
Some of those companies have exited, others have created lasting impact—and a few have failed, teaching the most powerful lessons along the way.
"Building a company is simple. It’s not easy. But with the right team and plan, success is definitely attainable."
I deeply respect the courage, perseverance, and little bit of crazy it takes to be a founder. It’s one of the greatest honors of my life to walk alongside entrepreneurs as they start, build, grow, and exit their businesses…and there is no better place in the world to do that than in Texas.
-
Wade Myers, Co-Founder
Wade has built and backed businesses across the globe—from war zones to Wall Street.
As a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School and founder of Eagle Venture Fund and Eagle Venture Lab, Wade brings the rare combination of disciplined execution, battlefield-tested leadership, and a deep belief that entrepreneurship can be both redemptive and scalable.
He’s raised over $75 million in capital, launched multiple funds, and invested in or advised more than 100 startups.
“The best ventures don’t just solve problems—they reflect purpose.”
He doesn’t just talk strategy. He builds alongside the founders, sleeves-up, day one.

Eagle Venture Lab
Eagle Venture Lab is a venture studio dedicated to launching companies that scale impact alongside profit. With a focus on backing founders of conviction—not just credentials—EVL brings capital, co-building muscle, and a systems-based approach to early-stage venture creation.
As a co-founder of 1845 Venture Studio, Eagle Venture Lab extends its mission into the heart of Texas, joining forces with Ryan Brown and Trey Bowles to build startups that solve real-world problems in sectors that move America—mobility, energy, agriculture, health, and fintech.
From its foundation in values to its obsession with operational excellence, EVL doesn’t just help launch companies. It helps launch founders into their calling.
